Big Brother 11

Final series of Big Brother 11 started on Wednesday. I am a huge fan of the show and been watching it since the very first series. I was seriously addicted to the show at one point. That said whatever goes up must eventually come down.

It's very unfortunate the format has become a victim of its own success. Unfortunately though the opening nights live show was nothing short of a disgrace. Some twat exec producer decided to change the most glamorous aspect of the format with regards to the opening show when the chosen candidates arrive in their plush cars with tinted windows, step out and reveal themselves for the first time to the viewing public and media alike and replaced it with some moronic circus freak show - and big brother randomly selecting the chosen housemates from a pool of finalists . Last time I was this bored watching tv was in the good old days of black and white prior to the advent of colour television. Hope the entertainment value improves over the coming days.

As far as I am concerned BB5 was a blockbuster of a series and the best of the lot. It was the most amazing piece of ground breaking British television I've ever seen since Tom's shocking erection on (BB1). BB5 featured real characters with genuine personal beefs and oscar winning performances. Hats off to the production team specifically involved with the candidate selection and the individual who up with bedsit idea.

This Week

Been relatively busy over the last couple of weeks or so hence the non post. Besides, there's not much to really blog about to be honest. Politics wise, the circus of the last couple of months leading up to the election has subsided and its business as usual I guess with the exception of David Law's resignation.

Football wise, on a domestic front, Rafa is a goner, and Abvram is on the hammer. On a more important note, the world cup is here. Not really excited this time round though. Perhaps I am getting old or perhaps its because of the failure of domestic star players performing on an international level and the real problem of the lack of exciting fresh talent breaking through simply because the old washed out seniors still living on the glory days of yesteryear.

On a more positive note Caroline Flint is on This Week looking quite yummy indeed.
